[Jeudis du Studium] Discovering Korea through its Picture Books

Jeudi 11 janvier 2024, à partir de 16h, Sungyup LEE, chercheuse invitée à l’InTRu dans le cadre du programme Studium, présentera ses recherches à l’occasion d’un des “jeudis du Studium”, des rencontres permettant aux chercheurs invités de se présenter mutuellement leurs travaux, toutes disciplines confondues.
“My research focuses on the reception of Korean picture books in France. Since 2000, French publishers have been interested in Korean picture books, constantly translating and publishing them. From 2000 to the present, 151 Korean picture books have found a French audience, according to a non-exhaustive list I have compiled. I will study the translation of Korean picture books into French and examine its evolution. On the evening of Thursday, January 11, I will briefly introduce some Korean picture books that have been internationally recognized or published in French.”
